Day 1 : Chandigarh – Shimla
Pick from Chandigarh by Tempo Traveler and proceed to Shimla check in Hotel,,,take some rest after that in the evening visit for “THE MALL & THE RIDGE” This large open space in the heart of town presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. Shimla’s landmarks – the neo- gothic structure of Christ Church,Kali Bari Temple,Lakker Bazar,Lower Bazzar,Scandal Point and the neo – Tudor library building – are worth seeing. Overnight stay at Shimla.
Day 2 :Shimla –Sarahan
After breakfast check out from the hotel and leave for Sarahan.On the way visit Kufri,and then proceed to Sarahan. Over Night stay at the hotel.
Day 3 : Sarahan-Sangla
Early morning visit the Bird Park walk for 2 hours, visit the Bhima Kali temple one of the most important temples of Kali in India where there use to be human sacrifice before 18th Century, drive to Jeori past the Wangtu bridge then drive towards, Karcham reach Sangla walk the market place if time allows visit the Kamru Fort & the Temple of the village deity in Sangla village over night in a hotel in Sangla.
Day 4: Sangla – Chitkul – Kalpa
After breakfast drive to Chitkul (3460 Meters) last village on India & China border walk for half a day around Chitkul Village, drive towards kalpa. Overnight stay at kalpa.
Day 5: Kalpa – Nako
After breakfast we will drive you to Nako (5-6 hrs.). Here you will check in to the hotel or in the luxury tented accommodation. Later on after lunch we will take you for a walk in the village with your guide and visit the buddhist monastery related to guru Padmasambhava (a great buddhist scholar, whose teachings spread to Tibet from India), we will also visit Nako Lake, the residence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama ji. Later on next morning you may wish to walk to the nearby peaks with your guide and enjoy a wonderful view of the whole Nako village with the Himalayas as the backdrop of the village.
Day 6: Nako-Tabo
After breakfast we will drive you to Tabo (4hrs.) and en route visit the Gue village which is also the last Indian village on Indo-Tibetan boarder. Here we will be visiting the naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist monk which is about 600 years old, which was discovered here while building the road. Later on reach Tabo and check in to your hotel. In the evening visit the Tabo monastery which is the oldest monastery in the Himalayas. Today we will be entering the beautiful Spiti valley which is also known as the cold desert of the Himalayas (this area is cut from rest of the world due to heavy snow in the winters).
Day 7: Tabo-Kaza
Today after breakfast we will drive you to Kaza (3 hrs.) En route we will visit the Dhankar village and Dhankar monastery and fort. Here we will have a cup of tea or lunch with a local family. Later on we continue our drive to Kaza where you will check in at your hotel. The evening is free to explore in the Kaza market.
Day 8: Kaza to chandertal
today morning drive towards chandertal and overnight stay at tents in chandertal.
Day 9: Chandertal – Manali
After breakfast drive to Manali. On the way visit rogi village, Koksar and Rohtang overnight stay at hotel in Manali.
Day 10 :Manali Local sightseeing
After breakfast,visit some local sightseeing like to “HADIMBA TEMPLE” Built in 1553 with a superbly crafted four tiered pagoda roof,it is famous for its exquisitely carved doorway . “CLUB HOUSE” The Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a roller skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar and restaurant makes wonderful outing for the day.” Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar, and “VASHIST” Well known for its hot springs. There are old temples dedicated to the sage Vashisth and to Lord Rama. then Evening proceed to Manali Mall road for shooping and Van vihar and Monestry.over night stay at Hotel.
Day 11: Manali to Chandigarh
After breakfast checkout from the Hotel and leave for Chandigarh and drop at Chandigarh railway station/airport.
