Day 1: Chandigarh- Shimla
Get picked up by Sedan cab from Chandigarh and head to Shimla where you can check into the hotel. Take some rest and head to visit some local attractions in the town, including ‘The Mall & The Ridge’, a vast open space located in the center of the town and offers great views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Also visit other popular landmarks like the Kali Bari Temple, the neo-Tudor library building, the neo-gothic Christ Church, Lower Bazaar, Lakker Bazaar and Scandal Point before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Shimla-Kufri-Jakhoo-Shimla.
Have an early breakfast and proceed to a sightseeing tour of Shimla and Kufri. Located at an altitude of 2622 meters, Kufri is a hidden paradise and offers visitors plenty in terms of scenic viewpoints and sports activities. Proceed to Jakhoo Temple afterward which is located at Shimlas peak point. Visit other attractions like Green Valley, Mini Zoo and the Indira Tourist Park before returning back to Shimla for the night.
Day 3: Shimla-Manali.
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and head for Manali which is 255 km away. Stop by attractions like the SUndernagar Lake, Pandoh Dam, Mandi, Mini Vaishno Devi Temple, Hanogi Devi Temple and the Kullu Shawl Factories before reaching Manali for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Manali -Rohtang Pass (Up to Snow Line) Solang Valley
After breakfast, head to the snow point located along the Rohtang Pass. It can get pretty cold as you reach the snow point, so carry warm clothing like sweaters, shawls, hats, overcoats, gloves, socks and sports shoes with you, or choose to hire them on the way. Since Rohtang Pass remains covered in snow and is inaccessible for almost 8 months of the year, the entire day will be spent on snow point and the pass, following which you will return back to the hotel in Manali for the night.
Day 5: Manali-Local Sightseeing
Spend Day 5 touring the local sights of Manali after breakfast. Start with the Hadimba Temple which was built in 1553 and is known for its exquisitely carved doorway as well as its four -tiered pagoda style roof. Proceed to ‘The Club House’ which is Manali’s entertainment center, complete with a roller skating rink, a library, a billiards room, an auditorium, a restaurant and a bar. Other must visit attractions include the Tibetan Monastery, Van Vihar and Vashist, popular temples which are dedicated to Lord Rama and Sage Vashist and are known for their hot springs. Head to the Manali Mall Road for some shopping in the evening and stop by Van Vihar and Vashist again before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Manali -Naggar-manali
Following an early breakfast, head to the famous Naggar Castle which is located in Naggar, about 20 km from the Manali Bus stand and about 22 km from the Kullu Bus stand. Overlooking the Kullu Valley, the Naggar Castle is truly a spectacular monument and offers wonderful views of the lush green Beas Valley dotted with apple orchards and the distant snow- covered peaks. The castle houses three small shrines of religious significance as wel las a gallery which showcases paintings made by Russian artist Nicholas Roerich. Return back to Manali by evening to spend the night at the hotel.
Day 7: Manali – Chandigarh.
Check out of the hotel after breakfast and head out for a local sightseeing tour of attractions like the Rock Garden, Rose Garden and the Sukhna Lake before heading back to the drop off point at Chandigarh.
