Day 1: Chandigarh – Dharmashala
Day 1 starts with pickup from Chandigarh by sedan car and journey to Dharmashala. Check into a hotel on reaching Dharmashala and take the rest of the day off for an overnight stay at Mcleodganj.
Day 2: Dharamshala – Chamunda Devi Temple
Start Day 2 with breakfast after which the tour will proceed to the Chamunda Devi Temple. Stop by local attractions like the Dharmashala International Stadium and the Kangra Temple. Following the visit to Chamunda Devi Temple, return back to Dharmashala for an overnight stay at Mcleodganj.
Day 3: Dharamshala local sightseeing
Spend Day 3 exploring the local sights and sounds of Dharmashala. Some must visit attractions include the Naddi Dal Lake, Bhagsu Temple, Dalai Lama Monastery, Christ Church, Mcleodganj and some waterfalls in the region. Return back to your hotel in Mcleodganj for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Dharamshala – Dalhousie
Checkout from the hotel in Dharmashala after breakfast on Day 4. Proceed to Dalhousie and check into a hotel on arrival. Take some rest and opt for a local sightseeing tour of Dalhousie in the evening. Make sure to visit attractions like the Subhash Chowk, Gandhi Chowk and the Tibetan Market Mall Road. Return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Dalhousie – Khajjiar
Start Day 5 with breakfast and head to the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, a 10 km stretch of heavily wooded forest area which is home to several species of animals like the Ghoral and the Himalayan black bear. Also called as India’s Switzerland, Khajjiar is a must visit destination and is connected to Dalhousie by road as well as a walking trail. After visiting Khajjiar, return back to Dalhousie where you can visit Panipulla, the Church and the Dalhousie Mall Road before returning to the hotel for the night.
Day 6: Dalhousie – Chamera Lake
Day 6 will start with breakfast followed by a trip to Chamera Lake and the Bhalei Mata Temple. Located in the Chamba district, the Chamera Lake sits at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level. A popular tourist attraction among locals and tourists alike, the lake offers several activities like boating and fishing for visitors. Next up is the Bhalei Mata Temple which is located in Bhalei at an altitude of 3800 feet. The temple is dedicated to Bhadhar Kali who is also fondly called as Bhalei Mata. The rest of the day will be spent on returning to Dalhousie where you will spend the night at the hotel.
Day 7: Dalhousie – Amritsar
Check out of the hotel in Dalhousie after breakfast on Day 7 and leave for Amritsar. Check into a hotel in Amritsar and take the time to visit some local attractions, including the Bagga Border. Spend the night at the hotel in Amritsar.
Day 8: Amritsar – Chandigarh
After breakfast, spend Day 8 visiting local attractions in Amritsar like the Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh and the shopping complex. Return back to your hotel to spend the night.
Day 9: Amritsar – Ludhiana
Following breakfast on Day 9, check out from the hotel in Amritsar and head to Ludhiana where you will visit the 500 year old Lodhi Fort which is deemed to be the pride of Ludhiana. Afterwards, head to the Rural Museum which houses exhibits depicting the rural life of Punjab. Follow this with a visit to the Rose Garden which is set amidst 30 acres of lush green vegetation. Ludhiana is known for its apparel industry (it is the textile hub of Punjab and is also called as the ‘Manchester of India’) and offers a wide variety of fabrics, hosiery and woolen clothing as well as textile equipment for very low costs. An important manufacturer of auto parts, Ludhiana also manufactures over 60% of the tractors and 50% of all the bicycles used in India. Explore the myriad sights and sounds of the city before returning back to your hotel for the night.
Day 10: Ludhiana – Chandigarh
After breakfast on Day 10, check out of your hotel in Ludhiana and leave for the drop off point at Chandigarh. Check into a hotel in Chandigarh and spend the night there following which you will be escorted to the drop off point in the morning.
